That section of your post struck me. I've been trying to figure out how this happened to people I've known all my life and driving myself crazy doing it! It's so nice to have a community like this full of people who care.

It's always seemed shocking to me how many wars and murders have been carried out in the name of religion and we just don't talk about it. Clearly religion isn't all good and it's susceptible to corruption. It's insane that people just ignore that fact when it's a CLEAR problem.

I've been trying so hard to enfold ex MAGA, but they make it so hard when they drove around with "Save a Child, Shoot a Liberal" bumper stickers for years. I'm going to blow off some steam today with you and just hate them. I'll do better tomorrow.

I don't think Christianity will ever have a warm fuzzy feeling attached to it after all this as it's filled with people who seemingly joined just so they could be "better" than other people who joined the wrong religion and won't get to share Heaven with them. And they want that.

Drugs will stop coming into America as soon as Americans stop ordering them. We have been doing this war on drugs all wrong and instead of doubling down, it's time to try starting where addiction starts. Socioeconomic circumstances and education is where I'd start.

I'm with you. I'm seeing a light at the end of the tunnel now. I'm still worried about people who seem to have no idea what's going on and astounded that there are still people like that, but it's more concern for them than that they'll vote more of these scary people in.
