A general curmudgeon. JHU alum. Go Ravens! Former journalist with an interest in political comedy.

Silencing satirists doesn't just mean you have no sense of humor. It means you have no decency.
American men: "In the frigid, hardened tundra of Lambeau Field, men clad in their armor fought the elements and the opponents to gain leverage in inhumane conditions..."

Canadian women: "Let's play some football in shorts, eh?"

It's not new. It's a redux of the food lines, like those in Texas (below), caused by Trump's mismanagement of the pandemic.

Bottom line: Republicans enjoy watching people suffer.

Johnson: "Pres Trump has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that if there is any way to fund these programs that are drying up, he will do it."

... except, of course, anything that will interrupt his weekend golf outings in Florida, where he'll be all weekend.

No one believes Johnson or Trump.

As the gov't shutdown continues...
As millions of Americans worry about skyrocketing health ins costs...
As family fret about losing SNAP benefits to feed their kids...
As job creation plummets...

Donald Trump will be golfing at his Florida club this weekend, with nothing on his official schedule.

Remember how incensed conservatives were when a Black musician played a glass flute tied to an 19th Century American politician, saying she destroyed its heritage because *she* dared to touch it?

Where are you now, conservatives?
October 28, 2025 at 4:34 PM
I can't wait to hear conservatives bitch about how Brad Paisley ruined the National Anthem during the World Series.

Go ahead. I dare ya.

What we need now is John Cusack revisiting his "Say Anything" persona, standing in front of a group of ICE agents with his boombox blaring Depeche Mode's "People Are People."

Fox "News" and its crack (-smoking) reporting team must've missed this.

Trump's last trade war devastated American soybean farmers, who only recovered under Biden's leadership.

Trump, however, did make sure Big Agri got tens of billions of dollars in taxpayer-funded subsidies to cover lost profits. Small farmers didn't get any similar support.

The latest jobs report is a catastrophe:

--Top line number less than half predicted;
--80% of job creation reported in May & June wiped out in July's revisions;
--DOGE/Trump/Pres. Musk is still not reporting the hundreds of thousands of federal government employees fired, so the numbers will sink.
August 1, 2025 at 12:50 PM
The revisions of the last two reports were brutal: a loss of 158,000 jobs from the May and June, netting just 33,000 jobs in those months.

It's like the Trump administration fudged the numbers to get good initial reporting and then hid the disaster in the revisions... like lying was the plan.

Untrue. Pawns can only move one square at a time.

Hawley jumps at least four or five.
July 30, 2025 at 10:13 PM
In short: Sen. Josh Hawley is a cowardly idiot.

Don't forget his scamper to his safe space after he encouraged the January 6th attackers at the Capitol.

According to Trump's own website, this is the view on the 18th fairway at Turnberry, which the course describes as "unforgettable journey through Scotland’s most picturesque landscape."

No mention of ugly windmills at all. Sounds like Trump's selling shit again. www.turnberry.co.uk/king-robert-...

Six months into Trump's second term, and America is less great than it was before he took office.

FBI ordered to tail Comey for a tweet by Trump.

Also note, FBI ordered by Trump to stop investigations and release the men who beat police officers.

It seems someone doesn't like honorable law enforcement.

Yup. Lowest reported was in Mississippi at $2.70.

And $2.70 ≠ $1.99.

We know Trump frivolously sues everyone.

But strangely, Trump hasn't threatened a single defamation lawsuit against Musk or anyone else who links him to Jeffrey Epstein's child sex trafficking.

Strange, isn't it? He doesn't sue when called a pedophile, but he'll sue for a bad Mar-a-Lago review.
