There are so many PL teams in need of an attacking spark or depth and everyone has just left Marcus Edwards to join Burnley on loan and Kyogo Furuhashi to join Rennes for £10m.

Make it make sense.

If you’d said, even 18 months ago, that Marcus Rashford would be on loan at Aston Villa in February 2025, they’d have called for the men in white coats.

Wild, wild,wild.

If I’m not mistaken, Brest are looking at playing their playoff game in Paris - at the Stade de France . They could well get PSG 😂 #UCL

I cannot, cannot wait to be on the radio with Tom tomorrow for three hours. I’m going for 72 mentions of this in that time but I’m willing to take under/over bets
Lopetegui gone. Not before time. He’ll be almost immediately forgotten having had no impact on the club. Tactics were all over the place, team selections were random, substitutions were desperate. He made no connection with the players or fans. There was no point continuing.

How to kill a Football Club.

I was here at the Bessa almost a year ago to the day to watch Boavista snarl and scrap their way to a 1-1 draw with Porto in the Derby in front of nearly 15000.

A year on they’re currently bottom of the Primeira, down a man and a goal to Arouca in front of about 2k.

Genuinely brilliant game of football. Brutal that Pedro Porro has ended up on the losing side of this one - thought he was superb from pretty much start to finish.

The last time we beat Chelsea at the Bridge in the top flight, my Dad was 7 months old.

The last time we won there at all, he was 16.

Chelsea 1-2 Fulham.

Good things come to those who wait.

This is an absolutely extraordinary story unfolding in Seville.

Maybe Vítor Pereira will be a masterstroke and maybe he sorts this defence out (he has some form on this), but I can’t help but think that Sérgio Conceição was right there for Wolves to do exactly that with a Mendes client - without the baggage and with a better track record.
December 17, 2024 at 11:24 PM
I’d probably go with a stout defensive display and a Sander Berge masterclass. Pull the other one.

But maybe that’s just me…

Real Betis are maybe the weirdest on-pitch football club on the planet. Absolutely mental one way or another, every single week.
December 8, 2024 at 3:08 AM
That second yellow on Rico Lewis is a weird one. He does dive in, fine, but whilst VAR can’t intervene on a second yellow (nonsense, btw, but anyway) - is it not a penalty, which they can check?

Absolutely. Even better for MLS will be adjusting the schedule to match the European leagues (fall->spring). When MLS Cup is in May, it’ll gain a lot more attention.
We’re just about to be delivered the MLS Cup Final that the neutrals wanted. A bit upset? Yeah maybe. Good for MLS? Absolutely no question.

Was about to post about a lovely day but catching up on everything and all I can think about is poor Edoardo Bove. Football matters less on days like this. Nothing but love, Edoardo.

This could be bold but Liam Delap strikes me as 9 caps for England before the next PYT comes along or 120 for Ireland, 2 Euros, and a bit of a Jon Walters-sequel legend. Have a word Rory.
