Sooo many years ago. I got the boxed set of FotR, TT and RotK. Still have it up in the attic somewhere. Probably should dig it up and re-read again.

Pretty sure it was Different Seasons. Apt Pupil was the story that stuck with me the most. Read a lot of King after that.
