Only pensioners on benefits other than old age pension received winter fuel payments. I certainly didn't.

Winter fuel payments were not paid to most pensioners last year. Who knows what will happen this year.

Just read your column in the Herald this morning, Neil, and I would like to make a point about walk-in doctor appointments. I'm 81 years old and growing up that was all we had as no one in working class neighbourhoods had a phone. It seemed to work OK as far as I can recall. Let's give it a try.

Whilst I don't think it necessarily causes racism, poverty may cause discontent with the two party system and thus a desire for change in the shape of Reform.
