If your political movement is both reinstalling confederate statutes while at the same time attacking accurate depictions of history, because it focuses on “how bad Slavery was,” you are on the wrong side.

You’d think a single elected Republican in Illinois would join in raising the alarm bell that the executive branch is illegally withholding almost 2 billion dollars from their state and constituents.
I’m demanding answers, alongside members of the Illinois federal delegation, from the Trump administration for ignoring court orders to release almost $1.88 billion in federal funding for our state.

If they can't hold their end of the deal, Illinoisans deserve to know.

Good things can still happen in government … locally.

Cook County passed a balanced budget that included $ to provide wraparound reproductive health services.

“The county health system said this would be the first time in recent memory that funds like this are included in the county budget.”

“By ensuring additional funding to organizations providing this critical care, we are making very clear that no matter who is in the Oval Office, we as a County can stand up and choose freedom, bodily autonomy, and equity.” - Comm'r

First post on here feels fitting. I was sworn into the bar the day after Election Day, which included an oath to the Constitution. This occurred the day after America elected someone who wanted to “terminate” the constitution in an effort to overturn the results of the prior election. That’s all.

Why do Trumpers want to abolish the Department of Education? Because it’s in charge of prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race and sex in schools that get federal funding, a policy Congress set in 1975 through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
