In isolation, not a great result from an underwhelming performance. Felt like the subs should have been more impactful, but a lot of rustiness and poor decision making.

This was likely the toughest 8 days stretch of the season. I think we take 7/9 points and move on.

I’ve always been a list maker, but I feel like it is absolutely necessary now. I have to keep track of things people suggest, what I find, things that fly by the screen. I genuinely feel if I don’t write it down I might miss out.

As a bookseller/store owner I regularly remind myself of this. Obv keeping track of buying habits is essential, but I also need to trust my own and staff’s taste. If we think something looks cool, someone else does too!

Encouraging browsing and actively making suggestions is the anti-algorithm.

Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee’s Marvel Knights series is a top 5 superhero comic for me. There are more Inhumans stories to be told!
October 29, 2025 at 6:15 PM
Black Bolt is my favorite Marvel character. And I think that the Inhumans are very under appreciated. The whole weirdness of their existence lends itself to all different kinds of Marvel story telling - straight up superhero, crazy sci fi, body horror.

Ya know, right in your wheelhouse. 😎

1st thought: Why don’t people talk about that book more?

2nd thought: Hold on a damn minute, is she thinking about Black Bolt because she is secretly pitching an Inhumans epic to Marvel???

You worked your way into my feed because of the Madueke write up. Glad I started following. Really, really wonderful piece of writing.

If that’s Arteta’s line up choice, cool. A lot of people aren’t going to be happy with it.

But if that line up gives up a first half goal and basically creates nothing except shooting the ball out to the right wing, Arteta also has say “okay, here’s what we do…”.
September 21, 2025 at 4:34 PM
I feel like Arteta is pretty confident with his decision making and line up choices.

I do not understand how he could have watched that half and felt like it was correct. If they come out with same line up, essentially saying “so far so good”, I don’t know what to think.

Third game of the season, the hardest away game of the year and Arsenal lost to an unstoppable free kick. Helluva way to lose a game. Break and go again.
August 31, 2025 at 5:42 PM
Thanks for saying it just like this. I got away from the other place to avoid the maddening hot takes and was hoping that this season we would see some perspective on here. But man, people just lose their minds from the jump.
August 31, 2025 at 5:42 PM
Was just about to say the same thing. That Arsenal media team better be working up a nice welcome video…
August 20, 2025 at 7:01 PM
Nothing to base this except my own wildly skewed instinct but it has never felt like Arteta has been all in on getting another shiny new LW. I think he really likes Gabi and wants him to succeed. Madueke was the buy for competition. Unless (Rodrygo) something slam dunk worked out this was it.

Not sure on the “style” but the Patagonia backpack my wife and I both use is incredibly sturdy and comfortable. Might be a bit too outdoorsy for a high schooler but maybe just classic enough to be okay?

No need for chocolates or flowers, ask any time! I have all the info easily accessible on the retail side. 😁

There is no timetable on when it gets updated but usually concides with monthly catalog release. DC being Lunar and Marvel PRH is also a wildcard. But this is what I am seeing:
Poison Ivy vol 5 release 7/8
Poison Ivy 35 - FOC 7/14, release 8/6
Black Cat 1 - FOC 7/7, release 8/20
Hope that helps!

Give that woman a statue. “Legend “gets tossed around a lot but what else does a player have to do?
May 24, 2025 at 9:14 PM
The fact that this is even a consideration is beyond me. The Athletic article says “improved two year agreement” which sounds like a non starter. I hope this is trickling out from the player/agent side and not really something Arsenal are looking to do.
April 23, 2025 at 6:03 PM
Even if (crazy) fans can’t accept Odegaard might just be having a slightly down year, he has had SO MUCH to deal with professionally and personally this season that I just give him a full pass on a human level. I would be shocked if he isn’t back to some level of regular form next season.
April 17, 2025 at 1:04 PM
Damn, this is super triggering. Snark should have no chance of actual outcome.
April 15, 2025 at 4:14 PM
For all the nonsense and overreaction about Arteta when things aren’t going exactly to plan, who do people want to come in at this moment for this squad? It seems the players LOVE him. It Arteta was to somehow not be the manager anymore this team would fall apart.
February 23, 2025 at 8:47 PM
I think something that doesn’t get mentioned enough is we have to assume the entire squad is also incredibly confident in what is happening. There is zero reason to think otherwise. The coaching staff and players are fully aware of what has happened this season.
February 23, 2025 at 8:47 PM
Social media and online fandom has magnified this to the nth degree. Yes, we all want results. But there has to be perspective.

Taking a breath and accepting that SO MANY things have gone against the team this year is healthy. Next year, Arsenal are going to be unstoppable.
February 16, 2025 at 3:55 PM
There’s not a lot of good in this from City (Pep must lose his mind seeing this back) but watching it in real time and review Arsenal are SO fast in their decision.

Gabi and Kai both bolt as soon as the ball is recovered. And Kai’s movement in behind Gabi is so smart.
