Of course it would have been horrible news regardless of the circumstances, but John had just put out a new album and seemed to be back to making music after a long vacation. Felt like we were robbed not having him with us in the 1980s. Hard to exaggerate the shock and horror.

Trump seems extraordinarily corrupt to me, so I understand why you might be skeptical. But an index fund is not managed by Trump or anyone else. And a universal savings program seems like a good idea. Donations for it by rich people also seems like a good idea.
