It was the 80s.
They just did stuff like that.
Kill Optimus Prime.
Have Artax drown in the Swamp of Sadness.
The child in Care Bears Movie II makes a Faustian pact with Darkheart.

And these are really just the tip of the iceberg. There's a reason Gen X and Elder Millennials are the way they are

That sounds like mashed potatoes as a meal, but with all the joy strategically removed.

I miss when the cartoonish villains I was presented on tv were skeletal magicians and transforming robots, not world leaders.

Well, noone will ever be able to say you didn't suffer for your art.

The Gundam setting is actually pretty rich, using what were at the time actually hypothesized space colonies-O'Neill Island 3 Type Cylinders, placed at Legrange points in Earth orbit.
Plus, you can tell a still timely story- hope for growth, change and understanding, crushed by greed and fanaticism.

I would expand on the timeframe directly ahead of the "Gundam Origin", so around U.C. 0060-0069.
Introduce the space colonies, the Side 3 spacenoid freedom movement, the rise of Zeon, and end with death of Zeon Deikun and the Zabi power grab.

Sydney Sweeney could easily be Astria Tor Deikun.

I'm grumbling about having to take Deadly Dispute out of a bunch of decks, but it's understandable. At least I can move them over to Commander decks.

While I'm slightly bummed at how many Pauper builds are now getting over $100, I'd not wish for a product: That means "designed for format" cards

Had a weird nightmare last night. It was like you took The Picture of Dorian Gray and mixed it with Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors.

This could just be me telling on myself, but plot holes in dreams sounds euphemistic.

That said, the majority of my dreams lack internal consistency... when tends to be the trigger for the dream becoming a lucid dream.
That or people aren't mean to me. Either/Or.

Now, in oven, orders churning.
Ashes where the crust is burning.
Make Not War Pizza has no power.
Free if not there in half an hour...

Doom never tires.
That was a Doombot you saw napping.

I think that's some of it, but really back in the day Twitter had that vibe as well, mostly because of strict character limit.

Twitter ruined that with increased limits and the stupid paid blue check with values $8 a month over a tweet being relevant, highly liked and interacted with.

Yeah, I have to imagine there's better way to have asked that, or made it a soft ask after first checking that everyone's safe and ok.

I'm still pinging friends for safety and signs of life, but even I realize that replies back are SUPER low priority.

Bruxism just seems like one of the maladies that's scary, like autoimmune issues where the body just attack itself.

I do well enough ruining my body that I don't need my body to help.

One of these things doesn't fill corporate coffers.
One of these things has aired too long.
Can you guess which one doesn't fill corporate coffers before I finish my song?

Squeezed that one past us, didn't you?

You're never late nor early, but always arrive precisely when you mean to?

Yer a wizard, Dana.

I only use to-do lists for immediate action items. (basically, *doing* status stuff.)

Everything else goes on a post it note that gets stuck on the Kanban board that I keep on my refrigerator door.

Managing the backlog is kind of important to me, so an aid that neglects is of lower value.

Nah, it's not called a Done list.

It's like if you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him.

One is never done, only always in a never-ending state of becoming.
