I really hope your 2026 is more rewarding. So many wonderful things are on the horizon.

They're already willing to pay more for healthcare and education, so tax can clearly rise. Imagine a system they end up paying less and also they have the same services

Evidence?

Ahh, wasn't sure how you were tying it to nuclear power. There is heaps of cement in nuclear power. Fair play.

I was too young for Major, but he's been saying some things I agree with recently.

Why?
December 5, 2025 at 2:29 PM
Surely taking the 303 lump sum paying your tax and making a contribution is better. With a mere 5% interest rate, you'll have made your money back in 16 years. The remaining 14 years is exponential upside, and you've made a nice contribution to schools and stuff.

Chill out. Stones and glass houses and stuff

Yeh, but often too many of them

I'm pretty sure you and I agree quite a lot on politics, but please don't tar us all with that brush, and also please respect those twats have a much more diverse support group of horrible cunts.

To those making stereotypes: please accept that the cost of receiving this catharsis is reinforcing behaviour that bad actors meeting the stereotype can reason their behaviour is natural and not something they can control, or the baseline for them to measure themselves against.

that blade of grass will not stand a chance!

Yeh, honestly mate - I've had a few rounds of Ozito Vs Grass, and Ozito wins every time.

Not sure why I should pay more when I'm not a pro. It would be like expecting a tone deaf guy get a $1,000 set of headphones.
July 8, 2025 at 12:44 PM
Is Ozito like the well known bad brand? I see comparisons between all the other three (yellow, red, and green). But Ozito is never mentioned. Is it too good, or too crap to mention?

You know, I pictured a bloke fawning after a lady too, but I don't actually think there is any gendering in the language of the original post. Funny how we both made that conclusion

My pleasure. The secret is to challenge the idea, not the individual.

The goal should also be to change one's opinion, not to change someone else's

Social media can be such a delightful place if we let it
July 4, 2025 at 11:35 PM
All good. I studied economics and have a good take on the Austrian school, Keynesian, and others. I appreciate your position, but I suspect there is something wrong with the US model. The numbers suggest it. Many living outside of the US look towards it with pity, especially in this regard

Hi mate, ChatGPT o3 is a fabulous model to cross reference assumptions. Happy to base a discussion on statistics, it appears Americans pay a lot more in health care and get similar results. I suspect the US system has room to learn from others. chatgpt.com/share/686860...

The weekly big shop with you must be really painful

Is it really stoicism?
June 26, 2025 at 7:20 AM
Didn't we almost win a couple of years ago? And we lost to the country that had been invaded that year?
June 1, 2025 at 9:23 AM
I reckon that is why there is a line between the UK of GB and NI, and Republic of Ireland. France isn't part of Germany either, though they share the same colour.
