You know what I'm dreading most? It's the waiting room bollocks, and there's no smoking area any more! I utterly detest waiting rooms. The sense of hopeless doom... 10 minutes is my limit. Then I start getting agitated.

I can assure you that Malaysian and other SE Asian products are fine. Kicap Manis is wonderful, amazed you haven't heard of it! Sweet. spicy and... I can just lick it from a spoon. It's GORGEOUS!

It's widely available in Europe. Like a sticky sweet soy syrup? Similar to Hoi-Sin in a way. Perfect with poultry as a stir-in glaze at the last minute before scooping out of the wok.

Got some weird info today from my doc. Apparently I have a suspected 'dvt' in my lower left leg. Going for further investigation in the morning, scans etc. Yawn. But apparently this can be dangerous. Haven't told 'her indoors' yet. Hopefully it's nothing, false alarm. 🤞

I recall my father having an Austin A40 when I was small (it was grey, and the numberplate was 9808 R (who knows why I recall that from the 60s), but 'power' is not a word I'd associate with those little cars. No, I have no living children.
