Did he actually beat his wife?

I had no clue.

Wasn’t he also playing outfield in Anaheim at certain points?

He’s a great pitcher and hitter, I don’t see the Dodgers risking him getting more injuries and adding him to the OF is a risk.

I mean, could he be? Sure
But I think Blake Snell will be a Cy Young candidate in that rotation, expectations will be low on him as the 3-4 guy (depending on how you view Yamamoto) and not expecting to be the ace will allow him to ball out of his mind.

Yeah, I don’t know how my brain forgot that move. Thanks for the reminder!

Ahhhh, okay, so A COMPLETE MISUNDERSTANDING on my part, gotcha appreciate it. My bad on that one 😂
November 21, 2024 at 8:22 PM
He’s being posted by his Japanese team, so my understanding of that was BECAUSE he’s being posted by the international team, as an international free agent he couldn’t sing before then? I could be wrong and completely off the mark but that was MY understanding of the rules.
November 21, 2024 at 8:17 PM
I hope I’m wrong and he is. Like really really wrong. He can be a fun guy to watch when he’s on.
November 21, 2024 at 8:15 PM
And that’s fair too, it’s just frustrating having people being like OH HES LINKED TO LA when he CANT EVEN SIGN until January 15th (when INTL money pool opens) and people just assume oh it’s a done deal.
November 21, 2024 at 8:14 PM
And that’s fair and valid. I will say maybe he just checked out. I know I would. I’m gonna go back on my stance and give him a pass for 2024 but 2025… I hope he improves, I loved him and wanted us to trade for him in 2023 (before Wander went off the rails)
November 21, 2024 at 8:12 PM
Is very worrying and I hope it’s not injury bug. Digging more into his numbers, offensively was about his average output if he plays 100ish games, but yeah I do see how looking at certain numbers can make a person go WHADDYA MEAN IT LOOKS NORMAL so I mean I think it’s more of an indicator on WS.
November 21, 2024 at 8:10 PM
Well, his k rate has been rising when he’s played the past two years and that’s ALWAYS alarming to me.

He went from 20.2 (close to his average) to 28.9 in 2023 and 33.2 in 2024. Maybe he’s not seeing the ball well?
I don’t know but I agree BA isn’t everything. I will say the defense sharp decline….
November 21, 2024 at 8:08 PM
Also him playing in less games probably didn’t help his numbers (100 compared to 145 in 2023) but I will say I hope I’m wrong and he gets out of that Chicago team. That team is a pitfall and he’d be a good piece anywhere he goes.
November 21, 2024 at 12:44 PM
Also them having Sasaki going to a team like the Dodgers is weird considering he wants to go to a smaller market (or so has been reported) with a GREAT minor league system.
November 21, 2024 at 12:33 PM
I won’t mention his 2024 batting average but I will mention that it looked like kind of his normal year by every other number graphic. I could see the Dodgers taking a flyer risk on Robert. I don’t think the White Sox will get a huge return for him right now so I say he’ll be on the White Sox in 25
November 21, 2024 at 12:31 PM
I disagree. Judge only won because of home run numbers. Everywhere else, Soto is MILES better, is less injury prone and has more defensive prowess.

Give me the guy who strikes out less, walks more and hits between 30-40 homers over the 50-60 homer guy and strikes out at a 5-6 percent higher clip. 🤷🏻
November 21, 2024 at 12:25 PM
Forced trades? Or he got too expensive because he was the most valuable player in baseball not named Ohtani?

Get your head out of your ass dude and look around. Juan Soto is open to playing anywhere that will pay him his value.
Lemme guess, you miss the reserve clause. 🤷🏻
