Ok, so it's dumb for a lot of reasons but 'the utility never agreed to supply the power' isn't one of them. I honestly wouldn't have been shocked if that was the case, given how little actual forethought has gone into these datacenters.

I can't see the Bloomberg source, but I'm curious - did the utility commit to supply this power and fail to, or is Amazon simply suing them because they're unable to?

There's so many great things about this but honestly my favorite is that it's just honest observation, and the burn exists only because it's truth.

What I appreciate least is that we've gone back over the line from banning smoking indoors and in restaurants to 'now I have to inhale whatever you are'. Great that it's not as bad as cigarettes, but I still don't want to breath it and the smell makes me nauseous.

I understand that's almost certainly true.
But here's the thing - we're living under an administration that daily does things that are unconstitutional, illegal, norm-breaking, and unprecedented, with a Supreme Court that supporting them.
So it's not unreasonable to fear the absurd.

MySpace Tom remains the role model all the rich tech bros should have followed, but didn't.

I can believe it's good, but I doubt Del Toro would even know what 'slaps' means.

Kind of a rough day to be talking about space with the Goddard news. Good luck out there!

All the minifigs are great except for Picard, which is disappointing.

Totally makes sense, and it would be scary! It does sound like the captain probably could have done a better job communicating to help reduce those fears. :)
