For sure! I use a Scarpa T2 boot with, with a cable binding. Works great out west. Would be overkill on flats though. I wonder if something like an Alpina Denali would be a stiff enough?

Sizing can be tough with skis. With them being that wide they are more like an over-glorified snow shoe than an efficient kick and glide setup. Do they feel long when turning? Or do you have a hard time compressing to grip on snow to move forward (usually only happens if they are way too long)?
