Writer, mother, and web wanderer:
bringing a little bit of sunshine back into your feed. ☀️

And sometimes a little business: https://waymarks.jacquelynvansant.com
We don't have to have it all figured out. We don't have to feel strong. We just have to do the next right thing in front of us.

Your work, your business, your small act of kindness, your voice—each one is an act of hope.

Keep going. Don't give up.

It's ok to unplug, rest, and process.

Be kind.

The service you provide, problem you solve, people you work with or employ, customers/clients/patients whose lives are a little better or easier because of what you built, helped with, or do every day—that's not small.

That's you holding something steady when everything else feels unsteady.

Maybe even impossible.

But here's what I keep coming back to: The work we do matters.

And it matters precisely because the world is heavy.

Fine them, subpeona them, hold them in contempt, imprison them for disobeying the law.

DO something.

So grateful for extremely talented friends.

Kristina on piano
Jacqueline on violin
Chris on trumpet

Around the 3 minute mark on the original track, Kristina and Jacqueline paused as Chris played the intro to the Trumpet Voluntary announcing me, the bride.

Then the violin and piano resumed "Butterfly Waltz" as I came down the aisle.

All writings attributed to him sound like a whiny ten-year-old throwing a temper tantrum... and has the logic of a six-year-old child.

"Real freedom isn't collecting more power. It's the ability to walk away if that's want you want, if that'd what you think is right.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say to power is no."
