This Rotten World 11: Death on Wheels is now available on audiobook, another killer reading by TL Howell. I've been blessed to have him read all these. Now back to revising my anti-billionaire horror novel, at 49/170 pages on the first passthrough.

I would love it if you would check out my author site, sign up for my newsletter, and buy my books!

The more support I get, the more my wife stops bothering me to get a "real" job!

New anthology w/ my short story "Susto" hits Oct. 20th!

Honestly, I watched the first two and remained unimpressed. Haven't touched the others.

Banned books, like they're amazing. I get it. Those books struck a nerve. But based upon my own experiences, the most shocking, bannable books exist in the self-pub sphere because these are books trad publishers wouldn't even touch out of fear. Find the truthsayers, support them, profit spiritually.

Kafka doesn't seem to know how to play to a team's strengths for sure. One of those coaches who has their own philosophy and lacks flexibility.

Whaaaaat? That GM is garbage, and Daboll had his success with someone else's team. Danny Dimes is mid at best... but yeah, he wasn't the problem.

I'll have two things releasing on November 4th... my novel One-Shot and my short story Would You Like to Join My Cult? in the Bizarro Circus of Madness Anthology, edited by the super-cool Riley Odell. Pre-order a copy at he 'zon for $3.99. It'll blow your mind. We need more bizarro markets for sure.

Coming soon... like October 17th. My story in here is worth the price of the book alone, which is a pittance at $1.99. Score yourself a copy on the 'zon. My story is entitled Indian Corn, a Halloween themed slice of nostalgia and horror, good clean fun except for the blood.

Been feeling stagnant lately with writing, but then I wrote my newsletters and realized I've got quite a bit of stuff coming up, including a novel in November from Torrid Waters, a short story in Samhain Screams anthology, and a short story in Bizarro Circus of Madness anthology. Still, I want more.

Listen... if you're a fast reader, you could read one of my books a day for the entire month of October, and you'd still have something to read in November when my new book One-Shot comes out.

"Horror sci-fi banger" is an incredibly generous interpretation of the genre chaos magic going on in this book that I am SO FREAKING EXCITED TO GET TO TELL YOU ABOUT oh my gosh this is gonna be so fun
Author of Whisperwood and editor-in-chief of Tenebrous Press Alex Woodroe's TATRATEA in which a lone researcher arrives at an ancient Romanian manor to investigate the source of a virus driving the world insane, but is quickly locked in and caught between local hyperactive flora, invasive cosmic forces, and her own ability to remain lucid, to Christoph Paul at CLASH for publication in fall 2026 Clash Fall 2026 Alex Woodroe (photo of the author wearing a tenebrous press shirt and wielding a mean rusty axe)

Now revising some more on my three-year-old novel. Now at 123/292 pages. Once, I finish this pass, it'll be ready to go. Also, thinking about how fast Walking Dead characters would have died in This Rotten World. So fast for most of them.

Been goofing around on a novel I finished three years ago. I'll never let a manuscript go that long again. It's like reading a completely different person's goofball writing. Current me has to keep fixing past me's garbage writing. Gonna finish it and publish it so I never have to look at it again.

Finished the rough draft of the latest This Rotten World. Burn It All Down comes in at 104k words. Now I have 3 finished books to revise and edit- must not start writing a new one. I'll be suffering through my least favorite part of the job- revising.

Feel like I'm going through all the stages of grief at once because my agent is walking away from the game. I'm on my own again... when I'm at my best.

On the highway of This Rotten World, every character has an on-ramp and an exit ramp. I've taken a lot of exit ramps, and could have taken 1 for every character in book 12. Now at 100.5k words after adding 2k. Even the people that made it so far, I keep thinking about going back and fixing that.

I'm stuck up in this school until 7 PM. Been here since 7:30. Wrote 2k words, bringing This Rotten World 12: Burn It All Down up to 98.5k words. Hopefully cross 100k tomorrow. It's been a minute since I've written one this long. Gonna do some revising and try not to watch this clock.

Took me until 7 PM to get my 2k words, but I did it. Now siting at 96.5k words. A bunch of action happening now... a bunch. Also been proofing audiobook chapters for This Rotten World 11. It's done, just gotta check it, approve it, and let audible do its thing. So maybe a week or two?

Took me a minute to get my 2k words today. But This Rotten World is now up to 94.5k words. Just lost another character... planning to lose some more pretty soon. Who will make it? Also got a rejection today... thinking of self-pubbing something soon!
