Essentially it's a modern take on Tatakae! Big Fighter aka Sky Robo in that it's a shooter in which you can switch between an omnidirectional firing mech but now with twin stick aiming and a ship that fires straight ahead. Pretty guud but I wish there were more weapons to use

A real white knuckle mech shooter that mostly has you on the back foot but you have to try to plow through anyway and take big advantage of what respite you can get. With how fast you can die and that you only have 3 lives it's a real ball buster of a game but I kinda love it

Tecmos final Star Force game Has a neat gimmick in the form of a weapon power guage that slowly fills and levels up your weapons. Makes me think of Turbo Force but inverted and not made by douchebags. The music changing based on what weapon u have is a cute nod to the og. I like it

Rather than a usual campaign this shooter is more like a collection of short caravan stages. The game's emphasis on rushing into the enemy's faces and speed killing them makes you feel like a coked up squirrel with a chainsaw especially with how fast you can move. Guud stuff

Not the first time I've played Rayman 2, that honor goes to the PS2 version, but this is the first time I've played the og N64 version. Yeah yeah "it's not perfect" or whatever but damn it this game is considered a classic for a good reason!

Neat little caravan shooter heavily based on the Star Soldier games from Hudson Soft. There's no campaign just two stages both having a 2 and 5 minute modes so it's a pretty meager package but the price is right. If you're into caravan shooters I'd say it's worth a look

I dig it! To my surprise it took a good while for the puppets to start killing but I kinda like that. Loved the few bits where the puppets were stop motion animated but sadly that wasn't very common. Definitely looking forward to seeing the sequels. And boy are there a lot

Kinda more of the same but hey if it ain't broke don't fix it. The presentation is just as charming here as it was before. I think the puzzles are a bit more difficult and it's a bit longer but still a short game. Overall a good sequel and here's hoping for Boxville 3

Cute little point and click adventure game about a dude looking for his dog. Love the aesthetics and the puzzles are simple but not too much so. Short but very sweet! Looking forward to it's sequel

I haven't played the original arcade version of this but I can tell that this is a pretty rough port. Yet I have a fondness for it. I think it's because I have a fascination with seeing 8-bit/16-bit hardware try to replicate arcade sprite scaling technology

Pretty cool little metroidvania type game. Perhaps due to it being based on The Maze of Galious rather than Super Metroid and Castlevania SOTN it has a different and unique feel from most modern indie games of this type
