The renaissance inspiration comes from the presentation. Baroque tends to be more dramatic, mine isn’t, I use a soft vignette and rim light which is not chiaroscuro. There is a lot of cross over as obviously baroque artists like the Dutch masters were inspired by renaissance paintings.

I painted this in 2020 because I thought a renaissance style painting of a McDonald’s for a Magic the Gathering token would be hilarious.

I still think it’s hilarious so I improved it.

Not streaming today because I have a headache. I think I have an ear infection 👂🌾🙉

Anyways I’ll aim to get into regular 2 day a week streams once I’m past my next work milestone on the 22nd.

I’ll still do beginner zbrush for rapid prototyping… then Im gonna finish this guy for 3D printing

I’ve never sold mats before. Or even prints.
They’re gonna be made to order so I won’t make any money off them but I’m stoked people like my art enough to own it

These finally came out nice.

I don’t usually go back to old art but taking a bit of time to improve them feels really worth it.

I made the originals when I was learning procreate and made a lot of mistakes.
Other than some tonal adjustments I can now author stuff completely in procreate.

I started this a while ago but struggled to finish it.
Scrawny 15 year old Ren and his fresh new arms.
I like the impasto/oily style with him but not so much with other characters.
