#4 Lightbulb - Part Two The daffodils I didn't plant that glorious golden crown; well, the cold snap got them - all's left are tall stems, leaves bunched together, yet solitary, the tufted hair of a goat's chin. My tulips instead, buried in those planters with no sun, yet warm in soil, shrugged the cold; still s l o w m o t i o n pushing, maybe now maybe I spy a purple tinge, the dark of sunrise, it ... just makes you ... feel ... is all. #NaPoWriMo #poetry #writesky

#3 Lightbulb - Part One The daffodils I didn't plant came up again this year twenty three blooms, perhaps from seeds of townhouse winds, or the retiree two doors down snuck bulbs into the soil as a gift. My tulips instead, I buried in seven planters, neatly lined up on the back porch, are mere spike and wave of a green leaf here or there; no blooms ... just tiny and bent and ... well, it just makes you think, is all. #NaPoWriMo #poetry #writesky

Well crap. I see Val Kilmer has passed away, had been dealing w throat cancer for many years. Besides Real Genius, I think I was most impressed with his voice work in Prince of Egypt.

Ok so somehow the photographers on the JoCo cruise @jococruise.bsky.social have in two cruises produced my current fav pic of me (last year) and current fav of @asrivkin.bsky.social (this year). I mean check this ok I’m biased but I’m all 🤩🥰 framing this rn.

Happy Ides of March! No Caesars unless salad!

Also, I keep my dip pens and certain fountain pens in this holder, which waits all year to show off. The pen is certainly mightier in this case. :) (Don’t worry it’s just a potent acupuncture treatment.)

I was looking up what other additional states had confirmed measles cases this year (CDC notes Alaska, California, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, New York City, New York State, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington)

but search decided I wanted something else ...

Hey fountain pen ink folx - looking for ~dupes to Olivine and Fireopal. (No more Monteverde for me - Some folx❤️them but the inks clog my pens and their pen nibs are maddeningly inconsistsnt.). Troublemaker Hanging Rice is maybe okay for Olivine. Fireopal is especially hard to match shade and sheen.

Next up, continued attacks on education. Say, like an attempt at terminating the entire DoE. Not even an exaggeration. I'm running out of adjectives, epithets, and curse words. I'd hoped this was 'just a rumor' but yeah, here it is. I can't believe I'm still hoping bad news in 2025 is a rumor.

Oh the swatching - I am also way behind. I love having my deck of little swatch cards, but I'm so picky about my swatching that it takes forever. Still trying to finish swatching the 2024 Inkvent calendar. Come to think of it, I still have a few from 2023 to do, too.
