Fascinating adaptation to Cuckoo nest parasitism by Fairy Wrens - singing a 'password' to their eggs!

Yeah, would be like riding a donkey cart compared to their subway system!

I felt bad for the locals when our judo team would pile onto a crowded train, we would shower after training but you still keep sweating like crazy! 🥵

They both work fine - on the organic orchard where there are flocks of chickens the ideal frames are convenient (and makes the chickens love me) as I can just feed the drones to them.
The green plastic are great for concentrating drones in a few frames though!

It is so good right? The automated barriers, and the fantastic vending machines linked to your rail card. Just awesome!

I have been putting drone frames in all of my hives to prepare, and it is great so far!
No varroa (yet) but they are right on the doorstep, and this sets us up for control.
Cheap way to do drone trapping - an ideal size frame in a full-depth box Another style of drone frame - cells sized for drone brood.

Fantastic nectar flow heading into the beehives right now!

Dropping off some new bee colonies to an orchard, and the sunset was so good I had to pull over and just watch it for a bit.

I know right? An incredible way to experience different districts, so many variations. The ones around Kyoto were my favourite!

Jane Goodall is the kind of person that every flag in the world should be flown at half-mast for.

The type of hero that we should inspire young people to look towards.

"Anyone proposing a master class on changing the world for the better without becoming negative, cynical, angry or narrow-minded in the process, could model their advice on the life and work of pioneering animal behavior scholar Jane Goodall." by Mireya Mayor

Jane Goodall, the gentle disrupter whose research on chimpanzees redefined what it meant to be human
Without formal scientific training, Goodall upended the study of animal behavior. She also inspired countless people to protect nature.

Tokyo is my favourite city. The people are brilliant, and the food is excellent.
Have you done the walk from Harijuku shopping area to the Meiji shrine? Two impossible, opposite extremes, right next to each other.

Lol, that is hilarious!

Immensely satisfying when you kill a queen European wasp - one less #feral colony to deal with!
