Alberta teachers rallied outside MLA offices this morning, and I'm sure you'll be shocked to hear many of our UCP MLAs were "out of the office" today. Cowards.

Our support staff in Wolf Creek isn't unionized, but like you say, this government absolutely would try something like that.

I don't think it affects the support staff because they aren't part of the ATA. That was my understanding. Our support staff is currently working.

Someone please help me understand why the government would lock us out when we're already on strike. What is the purpose? I've never been through this process before, so I have no idea what the intent is here.

Our superintendent, assistant superintendent, and heads of various district office teams have been sending us words of support, solidarity, and encouragement today on our last day before the strike, and I'm feeling very 🥹🥹🥹 right about now.

I'm glad that traveling gong show is finally over. I worry they'll use their "findings" from these UCP stacked events to plow through legislation that the majority of Albertans don't want. It's exactly the kind of thing they'd do.

Do you think Danielle Smith knows the ATA *is* teachers? Like does she get that when she talks about the ATA misleading teachers it makes zero sense? They're not some separate body from teachers like she suggests. I'm glad Schilling pointed out (again) that PEC are all active classroom teachers.

This feels like a Beaverton article. It isn't even so much the part about seats not being able to recline, it's the paying part about paying *extra* for a seat that can recline. What's next? Having to upgrade to be able to use the bathrooms? This is just getting so ridiculous.

Just had a look at the official list of candidates running in our municipal election, and there are a number of great people to vote for. This is the first time I can recall feeling excited about my voting choices at literally any level of government. (The joys of living in rural Alberta. 😒)
