Charity. Supporting children in need
#ForeverFriendsofUgand Following our recent successful appeal in support of HIV sufferers, the Let Yourself Trust has awarded us a wonderful grant which will allow us to keep this life-saving programme going through 2027..
Our thanks go out to the LYT for this life-saving sum.

#ForeverFriendsofUganda The Kirabo Awards show our appreciation of girls and boys who show self-motivation and caring for others, show responsibility and teamwork as well as cooperation with both teachers and fellow pupils.

Their prizes included clothing, footwear and watches.
Well done all of you.

Despite the mayhem of Storm Claudia yesterday, all was calm inside St George's Church for the Twilight Fair.
Thanks to those who braved the elements and visited our stall.

This is wonderful to see!
Ten students who have just completed their UCE (equivalent of GCSE) have volunteered to do a month of voluntary work at Little Angels Primary School.
Here are 2 of them supporting our Reading for Pleasure programme.

My Apologies
I am sorry that there has been such a big gap since our last blog. It’s not been from a lack of will, but sadly things outside my control got in the way. It’s back to normal now, I hope. James and …

Our support for HIV sufferers around Little Angels is vital as there are now no USAID funds. Sadly the generous donation we received was soon used up.
We have received another donation for maize flour to help sufferers fight the disease. But only for 3 months..
After that .....? We can only hope.

Our sponsors often ask about their child's name. Why is it like it is? Why is it different this time from last time? This Blog helps to explain at least part of it. The photos are all of sponsored girls and boys, showing how they got their names.

What’s in a Ugandan Name?
There are various sides to this; things that can confuse us in the western world. Let’s try to bring a little light to it all. First of all – the family name (the surname) as we know it in Eu…

This is an important development in FFoU’s support for the village communities around our schools.

A generous supporter has donated funds to help us to lessen the dangers of village women with HIV transferring the illness to their young. They have been left at risk by the removal of USAID.

It's International Women's Day.
Celebrations need to go way beyond words and into action. Our project of Abawaala ku mwanjo (girls to the front) is designed to help women and girls to reach their full potential.

Celebrating Success. #ForeverFriendsofUganda
Firstly, all of our sponsored children at Little Angels passed their Primary Leaving Exam. And now .... every student who sat for the UCE (equivalent of our GCSE) at Golden High School can claim success.

Great News.
All of Forever Friends of Uganda's sponsored pupils who had completed their primary school years have passed their Primary Leaving Exam an essential step if they want to go to secondary school.

The next task is to try to get them sponsored at that higher level. Fingers crossed.
