The bill would have required large data centers and crypto miners in Oregon to shift to 80% clean energy by 2030, and 100% by 2040. But Amazon helped kill it.

1/ Amazon is casting aside its climate goals to build AI. We have just a few years to stop disastrous levels of warming. Yet despite committing to net zero carbon emissions by 2040, Amazon’s annual emissions have grown roughly 35% since 2019.
