Getting the Ukraine nationalists to agree will be the tricky bit, as Trump has already indicated.

The Guardian has been deeply dishonest in its coverage of the war in Ukraine.

The UK government appears to have insisted on that, and The Guardian complied.

There is no sign Ukraine is willing to make the territorial concessions needed for peace.

NATO needed no invitation.

It was good to see compromise in the Cuban missile crisis.

The US withdrew its missiles from Turkey and Italy and Russia responded with magnanimity and withdrew its missiles from Cuba.

We need someone in the White who can do compromise now.

It is astonishing hubris that we in the West feel Russia should just accept attack from US missiles.

Imagine the US reaction if China deployed missiles and troops along the US Mexican border, and fired missiles into the US!

Sadly, Starmer doesn’t mean support for those Ukrainians hoping for an end to the war, or Ukrainians hoping for Presidential elections anytime soon.
