For sure. Altman, amodei, pichai, and Zuckerberg have all called for stronger regulation. But the situation is dire when most politicos are luddites and really have no clue.

I feel like I remember reading that a big reason why folks get so sleepy at conferences is because CO2 goes > 1500 ppm without good airflow
