And while gold is selling off hard, so far, the price range where the US wasn't actively trying to take Greenland from NATO and where Japan didn't publicly announce a plan to blow out its deficit even more is a buy zone for the market.
Daily gold chart going back to the start of 2025 showing a big blowoff top rally, a huge sell off of that entire rally, then a further sell off as far down as $4400 into the range before it gapped up after the dual US and Japan shocks, but that part of the candle is a wick, meaning that used to be the price. People are buying sub-$4,500 gold pretty quickly still

Not sure it's a good thing that the Japanese 40-year has 4% in range and the US 30-year can see the TACO Trump number of 5% over the horizon
Japanese yield curve showing the 1 year to 7 year all between 1-2%, while the 10 year is 2.235%, and the 30 is 3.648% and the 40 is 3.936% US yield curve showing the 1 through 30 years yields all up today, with the rates in between 3.498% and 4.049% for 1-7, and the 10 is 4.273%, the 20 is 4.852% and the 30 is 4.901%
