Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. I have to remind myself of this often. I also have to remind myself that sometimes (most of the time) I represent the stupidity.

I've never heard of multisite WordPress until today. Gonna have to look into that.
Another option seems to be headless WordPress but idk I think that just means more servers.

I agree! In my use case, building and maintaining a lot of small websites, it's good, maybe even great. But is there something so much better that it's worth switching?
