Retired from local Police Force, & already into history of GC&CS & intercept work, I began to collect Code & Cypher systems, eventually became an exhibitor in B Block at BP. Later, David White of Hut 1 suggested that we link our gear. Ace. Best days ever!
I met George during a visit to Northern Ireland & the Somme Heritage museum. We visited the Gilnahirk site which was closed & slated for development into apartments.

Some years ago I was living pretty close to Beaumanor & attended several job related courses there, nothing of relevance. I would walk the grounds to view surviving features & buildings. It was also a great opportunity to visit the Gt Central Railway.
