Hard to get more spooky season than this, which lives in the season, and calls itself after maybe the holidays most famous figure. The witch "takes flight on her broomstick" scene alone is both deeply disturbing, gross, beautiful, and steadfastly eerie..

Eternally impressed and bothered by this scene in The Witch, and how locked in every soul is. Especially Harvey Scrimshaw's uncanny excellence. The expulsive movements, the exclamation marks on his words like "kisses" with his hands, the vacant expression of joy and death..
