An observation: someone on bluesky posts so frequently, assuming that they set up their account on the day of the first public release on the 6th February 2024, that must be posting at the average rate of once every 17 minutes and 35 seconds! I mean really. Are they a bot? Are they real? Elon Musk?

Everyone will have to be a democracy blog, so it looks anyway. Luckily I am not in the US, but it is a matter of time. Disinformation unfortunately convinces people of things that we would like to think are self evidently untrue.
This is why I love and recommend supporting Techdirt.
Wrote up something about Techdirt's recent coverage, and why (whether we like it or not) we need to be a "democracy blog" now, rather than just a "tech" blog (not that we've ever been just a tech blog).

After a little research I found out that this was infact about the controversial bill regarding the change of status of Maori in new Zealand, but it was in late 2024 not February, still cool though.
