Weaving drafts are mind bending , I’m on the edge of just about understanding and translating to a complex loom I decided to randomly purchase on eBay late one night.

The loom I bought came with loads of different types of yarn. Including this heavily tangled silk. It’s the first time I’ve knowingly handled silk in my life , and despite its absolutely luscious touch, it’s an absolute pig to detangle.

I was ok with feeding one, but when they bring their mates along, it gets a bit ridiculous.

The way I’ve gone from pure frustration and anger whilst warping a loom to now feeling sense of deep meditation and connection to ancestors long since gone.
Many peoples have put deep symbolic meanings and even origins (of peoples) into weaving.
It’s humbling and satisfying to learn the art.

Stormy day incoming. I was never bothered about storms until I built my own shed, fences etc in the garden.
