I learned from Samin's latest book that garlic potency changes over the course of the year. If it's May, you're eating 9-month-old, not-very-sharp garlic.

(Of course, it also changes by varietal and how you grate or chop it.)

Still. I'm typically 4x the recipe.

Have you tried a Remarkable?

Can you find the info in your Network tab? Maybe the original HTML doc? Or an API response?

Buxtehude, Couperin, and Purcell all had some bangers.

Hmm, I feel like I’m getting further off topic

Yep. I think there really are only four options:

1. Custom Element. Web platform native, but requires JS.
2. Iframe. Web platform native. No JS, but other complications
3. Server- or edge preprocessing
4. Submit patches to browsers to get HTML transclusion supported natively
September 5, 2025 at 7:05 PM
There have been numerous efforts to support transclusion in HTML, e.g.

Edge-Side Includes also exist, though there aren't a lot of tools that support them. I think Akami invented it. Easy to add to Fastly or Cloudflare. Probably possible on something like Vercel with middleware.

My theory: there’s a lot of intranet info that’s not in JIRA/Confluence. This gives the LLM access to all knowledge in the org without requiring IT API connections. The ultimate shadow IT.

Caring for plants:

Label each plant with how dry it likes to get between waterings. Use a dipstick (a chopstick works fine) to measure how wet the soil is each day or two. Water when the level is right.

Rotate indoor plants weekly-ish so they grow up, not towards the window.

Picking Plants:

In North America, salvia (sage) plants are popular with hummingbirds.

“What plants do hummingbirds like and are native to ___” is a great question for AI because you can cross-check the answers quickly.

I also liked “trying to start a family.”

The policy suggestion is that it’s hard to raise kids when the billionaires take everything.

But the common meaning is “we’re boning. A lot.”

I’m here for it
