Objecting or opting out are both options. The lawyers achieved a meaningful result but more than $15,000 an hour is the rate being sought. Compare that to the $1500 net you’re getting for months worth of work.
Anybody have thoughts about whether it's advisable to register a complaint about the small size of the class action settlement?

My s-i-l mentioned the amount per work stolen by Anthropic is likely to be only $1500. Theft on that scale ought to lead to bankruptcy at minimum imo.

A question every reporter should be asking Trump and Republicans:

If Trump doesn't trust his own Director of National Intelligence, and by extension, US intelligence, then which country's intelligence is he relying upon?

Probably a good moment to point out that US Homeland Terrorism Prevention is being led by an unqualified 22 year old kid who's one year out of college.

It didn’t take long before the incompetence and arrogance of this regime would become a liability that puts our service men and women in harm’s way.

The current administration just raised taxes by 25% on goods on all Americans that come from Canada and Mexico and a 10% tax hike on goods from China. Your hard earned money just got a whole lot weaker. Tarriffs are taxes on you the consumer. So weak and shortsighted.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

One reason why I think respectability is stupid is because it's often used as a mask. Such judgements are rarely about the clothes themselves, but more often about the bodies beneath them. To wit, no one raised an issue when Elon wore a graphic t-shirt and ball cap to meet the Trump cabinet.

out to Putin and his war criminal regime.

DOGE recommends cuts to the FAA.

Hundreds of workers get fired, including those tasked with producing air traffic navigation maps.

Now Starlink is reportedly in line to take over a $2 billion contract to upgrade the nation's air traffic control systems.

See how this works?

My clients are overjoyed and slightly amused that a DC jury's fairness came back to haunt Proud Boys’ lawyer and law firm a second time. @bdhoben.bsky.social and I successfully persuaded a jury to award our client a just result… And, there’s no pardon coming for this one.
