...as if it needs to be explained to a human being that it isn't a good thing to shoot non-threatening people in the face over civil infractions.

The alternative, and far more likely path, is that if anything is done at the Federal level, it will be some bipartisan agreement to funnel more of our tax dollars to immigration enforcement for better training and hiring practices...

...and instead of reflecting and coming to the obvious conclusion that they should take a more anti-Imperialist posture, we see now that there is internal grumbling of, "Hey, you know? Maybe we should be a little more psychopathic. Like the good old days!" Pathetic.

Instead, many (most?) Democrats present themselves as Republican-lite without the intestinal fortitude to go that extra step of being psychopathic kidnappers of foreign leaders...

A strong opposition party would tout the merits of peaceful diplomacy and collaboration to achieve America's global ambitions, establishing themselves as the paragon of respecting freedom and autonomy and torch bearers of the golden rule... the adults in this room called Earth.

A strong opposition party would call out the obvious weakness entailed in America being unwilling to compete fairly on a global stage without imposing threats of violence or economic strangulation to get our way.

But their real weakness comes in not opposing Imperialism on moral grounds. A strong opposition party would raise hell over the absurd moral failure of violating another country's sovereignty to appease Capital interests.

Yes, if you engage in Imperialist rhetoric and actions like imposing sanctions (thanks Obama!), then get upset when your political opponent takes more direct action without your approval through Congress, you come across as if you're whining about technicalities and not adhering to proper decorum.

Someone like Amy Klobuchar escaping the Senate to run for his seat would represent a significant downgrade for the people of Minnesota, so I hope there is a gameplan to elect a progressive.

- says someone who hasn't read Democratic leadership's statements or remembers how many Democrats voted for the Iraq War nor understands the decades-long history of American Imperialist regime change operations, many of which were carried out under Democrat presidents.

Yeah, maybe sit this one out.

The answer to this question is generational, existential, and above all else, not beholden to the whims of the Capital interests leveraging the power of the state, subsidized by our tax dollars, for their own ends. We have power. We must exert it.

The question we must ask ourselves is not "How do we stop *insert current president*." We must instead ask ourselves "How do we dismantle this ruinous, destructive machine hellbent on world domination at the expense of diplomatic egalitarianism?"
January 3, 2026 at 9:49 AM
We're all complicit here, Republicans, Democrats, and everything in between, which requires introspection and humility about what it means to be an American who enables doctrinal unchecked militarism.

You cannot funnel an ever-expanding allowance to an addict and expect them to stop engaging in destructive behavior.
January 3, 2026 at 9:49 AM
Do you think Democrats will utter the word "imperialism", as naked and blatant as it is? Before you start slinging predictable partisan arrows, you better be sure you haven't voted for any Federal reps who have increased the Defense budget that has failed audits for 8 years in a row (and counting!).
