Thank you for the reply. It’s much appreciated.

Your article centres on negative commentary on the possibility of removing VAT on electricity bills, which is 100% a good idea in carbon footprint terms. See annotated screenshot below.

The battery has a small catch to hold it in place, which an averagely strong person could probably break with their bare hands. And given the new retail price (see screenshot; even higher than I said) it’d definitely be worth stealing on its own. It’s totally normal to remove it when parked.

“It’s nice here, but have you ever been to Baden-Württemberg?”

That’d make some sense, although I am not convinced that is always the reason for the shift. And British is still (perhaps imperfectly) used as an adjective for the whole UK (including in what the embassy in question officially calls itself).

Minor linguistic shift query: why is there increasingly a tendency to use “UK” as an adjective in preference to the prima facie more suitable “British”?

This Daily Express headline just describes the essential function of a national revenue authority, doesn’t it?

Which one’s better: the original Georgian facade on the right, or the one with some 1970s enhancements and modifications on the left?

I had hoped that this sort of sententious post would have stayed on X.

It feels like EDF are slightly in denial about my desire to move to another electricity provider.
