And commiserations, I know it sucks to have a system give up the ghost — hopefully your saves are okay(?)

Ah, fair enough. Fingers crossed for you, man!

I had no idea until right now how much I lucked out when I got my CECH-2003A from CeX a decade ago.

Nintendo should be tried for their crimes of ugly game cases with these switch 2 editions

Sadly, I doubt this will be implemented at scale.

Having read the article, Chris makes a good point. Yes, age ratings exist, but we all know either from our experience growing up or raising kids that one size fits all doesn’t actually fit all, and having some customisation can’t hurt. (I find swears are funnier when bleeped anyway!)

Completely agree. If this announcement was made - at the same price - without the inclusion of iWork apps I wouldn’t have blinked.

Apple are now in a tricky situation. Can they delist their iWork apps without lowering price? Probably not, so they’re going to stay the course.

I’m confused, does this mean the PS1 controller works in all cores and menus?

My Platinum Trophies:

1. Astro’s Playroom
2. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered
3. Astro Bot
4. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Naturally, I need to Platinum both Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Marking as “Suggestive” as the Astro Bot screenshot is a (predictable) spoiler.

A better solution, if you don't have/plan on getting SuperDock, may be to look at Bluetooth controllers (example: the Nintendo Classics Nintendo 64 controller).

Generic USB adapters may work, but compatibility may be sketchy.
January 3, 2026 at 9:02 PM
I may be wrong, but I believe this functionality will only be available to customers who buy the SuperDock. The SuperStation One base unit only has USB ports, no user-accessible Serial IO for SNAC.
January 3, 2026 at 9:02 PM
Just to set expectations, Taki is using the SNAC bypass port on the SuperDock in the video. This uses USB connector, but is not a USB port.

Good news: It's super low latency. Bad news: USB stuff doesn't work in Serial IO & Serial IO stuff (i.e. SNAC) doesn't work in USB.

The port used for SNAC adapters on the MiSTer / DE10 Nano board uses the physical USB connector, but crucially, it does not comply to the USB standards. This means you couldn’t plug in a PS5 controller into that specific port, for example. They likely used USB as the component cards are affordable.
