From my memory, I would say you probably are about half way. I mainly beelined the main missions and finished around 20-something hours, less than 25.

When I say they have addressed it, I mean they have acknowledged and provided the plans and timescale for when the performance update is due.

They have addressed the performance issues and are circulating a big update soon, I think they said December, which is aimed at performance.
It's no excuse - the PC version should not be this bad, but they have certainly addressed it with an update on the way.
