There are no definite plans to deploy Typhon missiles on Okinawa. Even if there were, what threat would they pose to Russia, which is 1,800km away? Taiwan, however, is much closer. Is Russia pretending outrage on behalf of China?

The argument is particularly topical because, while Japan has imposed sanctions on Russia, the Japanese government has actively continued cultural activities & educational exchanges. This includes hosting the annual festival of Russian culture in Japan.
