James Dowd grew up in a small town in Kansas in the 80s and writes books about jumping bikes and dead dogs. He may or may not be the illegitimate offspring of John Hughes and S.E. Hinton.
Hmmm, methinks your husband needs a few nicknames too. :P

I'd ask your vet, they should know. It's becoming more widely available and the caretakers that do these services are always wonderful people who understand beyond words. Hugs to you and your family.

One of the best things we did for our old dogs is to have in-home done when it was time. Being surrounded by everyone they love and in a comfy space (and we had other dogs that got to say goodbye). Sorry you have to go thru this. :(

Also, got great advice that if there is a good section that isn't pushing the story forward strongly, cut the whole thing and turn it into a short story and use it to promote the book or give readers a extra freebie.

I also got advice that if it's your first stab at getting published, 80k is a great sweet spot. That ring true to you, Cathie?

haha...well, I was only like 6 if I'm remembering right. I have a distinct memory of my mom wanting me to try on some BTK corduroy's and me going...NOOOOOOO! :P

I'm so old that I had "BTK" (Billy The Kid) pants but was afraid to wear them because the BTK killer might see them and think he should kill me.
