If you dug Ewing's Hulk, this is right up your alley. It's a spiritual successor, IMO. Artwork is off the charts too. Nic Klein and Danny Earls made some gruesome stuff.

I often wonder what current Big Two runs will stand out for years to come, like Bendis' Daredevil, Morrison's Batman, Brubaker's Captain America. For me, it's @phillipkjohnson.bsky.social's Hulk. It leans into the monster elements, explores the duality between Banner and Hulk, looks awesome. So good

Azrael Batman is up there for sure, but everyone said that. I'll go with Iron Spider. The extra leg things were cool.

I started reading through Hirayasumi after hearing @davidharper.bsky.social talk about it on Off Panel and I absolutely love it. What a charming, fun manga. I'm three volumes in and will likely catch up entirely by the end of the month.

I made out like a bandit at the @madcavestudios.com Black Friday sale. I have read two of these. The rest are books that looked cool or had names I recognized. Excited to dig into these.

I have never played Marvel Rivals, but I read all the Infinity Comics because @paulallor.bsky.social writes them and they're super fun. Every issue makes me laugh.

Have you ever read something that was so good you got mad about it? That's how I felt when I read Ain't No Grave from Skottie Young and Jorge Corona last week. Such an amazing book. More thoughts in this week's newsletter: jamesfergcomics.substack.com/p/not-the-ki...

It's about time the cat litter brands hired a real artist for their redesign. I can't wait to see what you bring to Fresh Step. Congrats!

I checked off a bucket list item last weekend at @horroronmain.bsky.social by hosting a couple panels including a comics panel! I was super nervous about it, but happy with how they turned out. Looking forward to the event next year.

This is what Austin Theory reminded me of tonight.

Watched The Beekeeper yesterday. Jason Statham didn't once say "buzz buzz." The movie was ridiculous with a lot of stretches but the biggest one was a rich politician who decided to tell the truth instead of hiding a scandal. Absolute Sci fi territory.

Slice(s) of Life has officially gone to print! This comic is a labor of love and it's taken a long time to get to this point, but I am so happy with what we've put together with friends. @theothermarioc.com, @mattmanbegins.bsky.social, @theilluminerdi.bsky.social and I are pumped! In Pizza We Trust

I caught up with Clay Adams on ComixLaunch about making the jump from comic reviewer to comic writer, how ComixLaunch helped with my last Kickstarter, and one fun tip about promoting projects. Give it a listen! www.comixlaunch.com/session505

I'm playing Batman: The Enemy Within and really enjoying it. The story is great and it jumps right into life-and-death situations, forcing you to make hard decisions. That being said, I get a ton of anxiety when it says "[Character] will remember that." I instantly wonder if that's good or bad.

Working my way through @davidharper.bsky.social's Best of 2024 list and really enjoying them. In Utero, Nights, and The Library Mule of Cordoba were completely off my radar and I learned about them on this episode of Off Panel. sktchd.libsyn.com/offpanel478-...

Putting A REAL SLOBBERKNOCKER together has been a blast and my favorite part has been seeing how much Dan continues to up his game with every panel. It's been a pleasure to see how he is on an entirely new level with this book. www.kickstarter.com/projects/jam...
