I’m about evocative images found in driftwood or what catches my eye. My goal is to post photos that shift and change before your eyes often causing you to yelp with surprised recognition. I also occasionally include short three line poems.

A small but complex piece. It is still wet from the chuck. When it dries I will post again
Cheers

Thus piece is still wet from the shoreline. There is lots of detail the camera can’t pick up because the wet wood eats the light. When it dries out I will publish more pics.
Cheers

This is a favourite of mine but I can’t say definitively what I see. It’s curvatures and so specific. Such clean lines. Let me know what you see in the comments

Still wet from the beach. It was hard to photograph as the darkness eats the light. Lots to see.

This is the kind of monster that stalks the backroads I spend so much time on. You drive with your windows open and learn to turn around very quickly. The safest place, is right behind one.

I was walking on the beach in the dark, which is my want, and this piece got tangled in my pantleg twice while I was trying to step over a log. I took it as a sign and brought it home. Much of the detail will show up when it dries. Wet weight 80g.

I met up with a Giant Yellow Faced Mantis walking along the tideline. I didn’t alter this photo in any way minus some cropping. The closeup tells the story.

Not quite my usual, but I was hunting mushrooms in the woods in the dark because in the daytime it’s hard to distinguish Chantrelles from fallen leaves. I came across this huge burrow under the roots of a Douglas Fir. No sign of recent occupation. In a pinch I could easily sleep in there.
