Star Wars came out May 1977, last guillotine execution in France, September 1977! Although the did them in private by then.

My ill-advised side quest of reading 1990s trash comics brought me to Medieval Spawn/Witchblade. Written by Garth Ennis, it begins with the lead character finding the Witchblade buried in a heap of dung. Subtext.

Yeah, I’m actually not a big fantasy guy and I think this is part of why, I set the bar too high early on! I never found the flight of dragons book, but I did read The Dragon And The George which (I’m sure you’re aware) was the other part of the adaptation.

Your Spidey run is for the ages, at least, so the effort paid off. Imo it’s Lee/Ditko, then you & your artists. Glad things have calmed down for you but I’d love to hear the behind the scenes on how it all got written one day, if only for posterity!

I’ve almost completely crossed into the tinfoil hat zone of believing that Labour are leaving Starmer where he is to announce all the shit policies so that they can ditch him closer to the election like a snake shedding its skin and be like “well that was the other guy, the new one is better”

Just fyi, it might be doing this because the battery backup is about to die, which will set off the ACTUAL alarm, so you might wanna prepare for that. (A similar thing happened to me - because I had no code I had to dismantle the alarm unit and disconnect the mains power & battery to stop it)
