Introducing 🐦 Pattern Pigeon: A conversational assistant built with Google Cloud's #DialogflowCX to teach software architecture design patterns! This was a lot of fun to create, and for a (probably) limited time you can even call it!

I’ve been researching Google Cloud's #DialogflowCX to build a conversational agent, and while looking into community-favored licenses, I was surprised to see so many repositories using the Apache License 2.0 over my go-to MIT—so I’m switching it up! Excited to share more soon 🐦💬

It looks pretty ugly right now, but I've got React Bootstrap, React Icons, and @fontawesome.com icons (for the elusive @bsky.app icon) working!

Plus, setting up automatic builds on GitHub Pages was not bad at all.

Finally, I've started learning #Django and #Python through their tutorial series (docs.djangoproject.com/en/5.1/intro...) for my objects and design course.

To change the to-peck, I've also been brushing up on #Java in my data structures course to implement an #ArrayList! My favorite part was building a test suite with #JUnits5, and it felt awesome to see a bunch of rigorously designed tests pass 😄

All a-bird! I have some development updates to share and a new, exciting project! 🐦

This week, I joined the team at @vgdevgt.bsky.social as a programmer for Murder Most Fowl–an upcoming avian murder mystery puzzler set on a train! 🚂
