I didn't think the ad would have much impact and felt it wasn't a good use of $. But, I have to admit the ad itself is very well done and it looks like it is driving discussion among its targeted audience. Will it inspire some change or just rile up the old, senile, orange pedo?

I really respect Rourke for speaking his mind on this and im one of the fans that is on board with these changes. The guy is a true leader and it truly shows how much he loves the game.

For years I had been dreaming up ways of removing the goal posts but still have them available for FGs. My 3 favorite stupid ideas
1. Set in the ground and rise up mechanically
2. Hung high over field and lowered into place
3. mounted on a vehicle and driven into place

Small clarification - broke the single-season passing record for a Canadian QB, not the league record. QB has been predominantly played by Americans throughout the history of the league.

I've wanted the posts off the field forever but in doing that you have to shorten the field. Can't have one without the other to keep the scoring up, imo.

Beyond competing with $$$ for NFL players, which would obviously be impossible, there is no surefire way to get those people with any changes.
I'm excited to see the impact these changes have towards creating more Offence. Though im guessing place kickers won't share my enthusiasm.

It is the one change that I am a little uneasy about. Need to watch it in action before final judgement but I have some doubts about if it improves the game.

No one is going to notice the shortened end zones, with the posts removed it gives the offences so much more room to work with.

Hmm, I'm surprised by these reactions. Personally, I like the changes, only would prefer that the Rouge would still apply if the ball lands in the field of play and exits out the back/side of end zone. I have been wanting the posts gone since the 90s. Play clock will be interesting.

No worries, I've always been a fan of Ovi and I do feel he is the greatest goal scorer since Mario and Bossy. It's incredible that he has been able to keep up his level of play as he has aged. I didn't think anyone would top Gretzky's record.

I love Ovi, he is the player with the most goals scored, no arguing that.
