Unfortunately, won't be at this year's SFN. Given the current finding envt, it just doesn't seem like the best usage of funds.

In the PFC, external and internal context changes are comparable, but maybe given the unique afferents of CA1 such things are naturally distinct there.

context changes (rules, sequence) would seem to drive more deep flexibility like reward probability changes do.

Really good points, and I think that the change of context is the key here. That Harvey paper is brilliant, I'm a big fan of it. I like the idea of place cells being grounded to different cues and that affecting flexibility. That makes a lot of sense, and it makes me wonder if other non-physical ...

This is beautiful work and quite the discovery. This also plays nicely with the idea that superficial place cells are rigid and deep are flexible. Seems to suggest that the flexibility is more about past rep's integrating with newer rep's, than the opposite.

Was deeply traumatized today when a millennial prof, in front of their grad students!, asked what was my favorite album. I'm Gen X and this question is problematic.
1) Too broad, need genre or something - too many favs
2) Too old to remember album names
3) The Gen X need to be cool runs deep
