So far neither my current provider, Talkmobile, nor my previous provider, Giffgaff, have ever put up prices. In the early days they also upped the data allowance a few times although not recently.

Coming from audio, I find most video editing programs a bit strange. I do most of my editing in Reaper because my needs are fairly simple. Vegas also works in a similar way as it started life as a DAW before morphing into a video program.

Plus I nabbed perpetual licenses for all the Adobe software that I was using just as they went subscription only. There are no updates but at least it all still works on modern systems.

I hate dealing with companies like that. The only superfast broadband here is Virgin and I've heard so many stories of them bumping prices so I've avoided them and stuck with a slower and much cheaper 4G connection.

Or maybe get out and see some live music?

I like towns where they have a Waitrose and an Aldi. Aldi for all the everyday stuff and Waitrose for the nice things that Aldi don't sell (like olive bread).

Some teenagers that I know are already creating their own social networks. They don't want their data snaffled by big corporations.

It is just a cost of doing business to them in the same way that companies continue to use Evri for deliveries - the number of complaints are outweighed by the cost savings.

How good is your recording space? A typical studio mic needs a good sounding space whereas a poor sounding space needs something more directional. Hanging duvets around you is a good way to improve the sound of a room.

Might be worth popping down to see someone like The Elf. Going through a mix of your song with someone in person allows you to pick up a whole host of relevant tips that might be missed with generic tutorials.

Do you do PCM1610/1630? That's something that I'm occasionally asked for but can't do.

Likewise

There was only one boy at my school who seemed to be a fan of Hitler - and he was seen as a very strange character. I've no idea what happened to him or whether he changed his views.

In the 1970s there was a boy at our school who expressed admiration for Hitler. Everyone thought he was very strange. I sometimes wonder what happened to him.

Captivating - I'm surprised that they have so few plays.

The real youngest game developer turns out to be a Canadian 6 year old girl - why do they have separate male and female categories?

I'm sure that, when I first joined, Bluesky used to be more fussy about what you could put in your bio and wouldn't allow links. Thanks for the heads up - link now added.

Probably up to the landowner.

There are so many alternatives to Spotify. Apparently our music is sent to over 150 of them. If I wanted to subscribe to a streaming service then I'd go for Qobuz who pay fairly and employ real music enthusiasts to create their playlists.

This could have big ramifications if it was found that they didn't have to pay. PPL and PRS have been making businesses like this to pay for background music for many years - even if it is just from a radio.

I would guess that it is on the right hand side where the ice suddenly starts to move faster. You can see a large crack opening up there at the end of the sequence. @polarrobs.bsky.social would know for sure.

Does he have a Raspberry Pi? If not, then he would probably find one useful.
