During my deployments in the “GWOT” I would hear the legends of the Kurds and the YPG. Kurdish settlements were a proverbial Noah’s Ark for the marginalized people of Syria and Northern Iraq.

I pray the rise of HTS and Turkish influence in Syria is not the end for the Kurd’s dream of Freedom.
