In 2024, Polanco had a swing tilt of 38 degrees from the left side. In 2025, that tilt is down to 31 degrees. In a league where the difference between steepest and flattest swings is just 22 degrees, a difference of 7 degrees in one season seems substantial!

Jorge Polanco in 2024 was not a good hitter. In 2025, Polanco is 4th in wRC+ (min. 120 PA) behind Judge, Freeman, and Ohtani. What changed? The obvious eye-test answer is he squared off his stance so he's not nearly as open as he used to be (he's also moved up in the box some).
