the album is confusing, the imagery and content don't match at all. it's like, are u a glamorous showgirl or a domestic tradwife? and if it's about the tension between those things it has to actually be about that

something that rly worked about Folklore was the timing + wistful, contemplative, isolated quality made felt relatable, like she was enduring a global hardship along with us. this one shows she's totally disconnected from the moment the rest of us are in, where her "underworld" is cancel culture
