ALL life is important. even artificial life. you bring someone into this world, you gotta be prepared for the ramifications of that action.

it may be a new form of life we haven't seen before, and it might be in a "tin can" as it were, but it's still life, and as such must be respected with the dignity *and autonomy* you'd give to any other person. you can't just turn them off or erase them, because that's still killing someone.

believe me, I would LOVE to meet a sapient robot. but at the same time, even *making* a sapient robot is an entire ethical pandora's box. you bring someone into this world (artificial or not) and you *have* to accept responsibility for that action. life (in any form) is precious.

you cannot implicitly trust the machine. it has no concept of emotions, it has no actual ability to think or reason. chain of thought is merely a hack that "helps" a bit with that.
this isn't to say that machines can never feel, think, reason, or even create! we just don't have that tech yet.

of course, the temperature setting can change that behavior, so that it sometimes picks a more """creative""" (less likely/common) token. but that's *all* it does. it models language and how it appears and flows. it's very good at that! just not good at much else lmfao
